Woman pays for toddler's $749 plane ticket - and we're BAWLING

Travelling with kids is stressful, so we can only imagine what this dad was going through at the airport recently.

Arriving at check-in, the dad was confused after being told that his two-year-old daughter could not get on the plane without a ticket, according to a post on the Love What Matters Facebook page.

He had booked the flights when his daughter was one so was under the impression that she could "ride for free".

However, her second birthday had passed in January which meant that she was longer entitled to free travel.

The poor man was obviously devastated to learn that he would have to buy a new ticket; a ticket that would cost over $700 due to it being short notice.

He didn't have the funds so stepped aside to "make a few calls".

But an incredibly kind stranger, who had heard the exchange take place, made not just his day but restored our faith in humanity by offering to pay for the ticket. The $749 ticket.

"This woman next to him at the front counter heard the whole thing. She walked over to him and asked what was wrong. After they talked for a bit they walked up to the counter together," Kevin Leslie posted on the page.

"She pointed back at his daughter and said,'I wanna buy her ticket.'

"The agent said 'You know how much this ticket costs right?'

"The woman responded '$700 something?'

"'$749' the agent said.

"The woman said 'that's fine' and pulled out her credit card."

Yup, just like that she stumped up a hell of a lot of money for a man she had only just met.

This is not something everyone could do (not many people have a spare €800 floating around), but it's nice to see that when people do have it they are willing to help those less fortunate.
