This family-friendly Enchanted Fairy and Elf festival sounds so magical

Children’s charity, Sensational Kids is calling on fairies and elves of all ages to dust off their wings and elf hats and join them for a magical day out at the Enchanted Fairy & Elf Festival in Rathwood.

All proceeds from the hugely-enjoyable event will be used to fund Sensational Kids Early Intervention Services for children with additional needs such as autism, dyspraxia, dyslexia, down syndrome and other developmental delays.

Now in its fourth year, visitors to the event will be transported to a magical, fantasy land as they travel by train through the Rathwood trail and meet enchanting characters and wonderful surprises along the way.

Taking place on Saturday, 19th and Sunday, 20th May, guests can also enjoy lots of fun activities in the Festival Area, and each child gets to take home a free wooden craft activity.

With free hot chocolate and free parking, everyone will be kept happy on what is sure to be an unforgettable, family day out.

"We’re so grateful to Rathwood for inviting us to be part of this fantastic event for the past few years," Karen Leigh, founder Sensational Kids said.

"It’s a magical day out for all the family and a hugely important fundraising event for us.

"One in four children has special educational needs and it’s our goal to help as many of these children as possible."

Tickets to the Enchanted Fairy & Elf Festival are priced at €10 for children and €7.50 for adults.

Pre-booking is required online at www.sensationalkids.ie and visitors can choose from a number of sessions over the two day event.

There is also a reduced-numbers session each morning at 10.30am for children with additional needs.

2018 marks the 10th anniversary of Sensational Kids, an award winning charity founded by Karen Leigh, who discovered first-hand, a lack of affordable support services for children with special educational needs.

To date, Sensational Kids has worked with more than 4,700 children through early intervention services at their child development centres.
