'So sweet': This 93-year-old man buys a box of Hershey's chocolate bars for the best reason

Who doesn't love a bar of chocolate?

Now, who doesn't love a free bar of chocolate?

This is the logic of Bob Williams, a 93-year-old from Iowa.

Every week, he buys a box of Hershey's chocolate bars with the purpose of handing them out to strangers.

How sweet is that?

The World War II vet is making a positive impact on his community every Saturday when he buys that chocolate in his general store.

He hands two to the cashiers, a third to the person behind him in the queue and then heads off around town to give them randomly to people.

He has been doing these kind deeds for more than ten years and in that time, he's given around 6,000 bars to strangers.

Hershey's found out about what Bob was doing so what did they do?

They decided to put him in their latest marketing campaign.

The retired teacher and high school football coach features in their ad and says, "it puts a smile on their face. It just makes me feel good.''

Social media went wild for this with one writing, ''such an awesome story! I love your chocolate! I enjoyed your cookies and cream bars every day, after school, when I was a freshman in high school in 1997!''

Another said, ''that is so sweet. Nice going Bob.''

It just goes to show that a kind gesture can make someone's day.
